Get Started with Microsoft365.com/setup

Microsoft365.com/setup is a starting point for setting up Microsoft 365 and accessing your Microsoft account. If you have a new Microsoft 365 subscription or an eligible product key, you can use the setup page to connect the product with your Microsoft account and continue with installation or access.

Before you begin, make sure you have a Microsoft account and, if required, the product key that came with your Microsoft 365 purchase.

Start Your Microsoft 365 Setup

To get started with Microsoft365.com/setup, open the website in your preferred browser and sign in with your Microsoft account. If you have a product key, enter it when prompted and follow the instructions shown on the screen.

After your product has been associated with your account, you can use your Microsoft account to access the Microsoft 365 services and available installation options.

Microsoft 365 brings several productivity tools together in one place. Depending on your account and subscription, you may be able to use services such as:

• Word for creating and editing documents

• Excel for spreadsheets and data

• PowerPoint for presentations

• OneDrive for storing and sharing files

• Outlook for email and calendar

• OneNote for notes and organization

You can switch between available Microsoft services from your Microsoft 365 account and continue working across supported devices.

Use Microsoft 365 Online

Many Microsoft 365 applications can be accessed directly through a web browser, which means you can work with supported documents without installing desktop software.

Files saved to OneDrive can also be accessed from different devices when you sign in with the same Microsoft account. Depending on your subscription, you may also have access to the desktop versions of Microsoft 365 applications.

If you are having trouble with Microsoft365.com/setup, first check that you are using the correct Microsoft account and that your product key has been entered correctly. A product key that has already been redeemed generally needs to be associated with the Microsoft account originally used for redemption.
