I have been trying to edit photos that I received in Whatsapp in Photoshop. But while I try to open such images in Photoshop, it throws me an error like in the image. But now I can add those images by applying a trick. But still, I don't know the reason why Photoshop can't open? Any explanation of the error.

I am facing the same issue on my iphone 12 after ios 17 update, i cannot preview images or even listen voice notes , it just keeps loading forever, i did go in whats app help section to atleast raise a ticket but they keep giving me stupid Bot responses and suggestions which are not helpful at all. Lets pray if Apple or whats app acknowledge this bug and fix asap

It happened after a quick message about whatsapp update I had to do (don't remember I've seen any previous notification about it) around the 25th, and since this update - it stopped loading the previews.

So i recently moved from a redmi to a samsung a52s, and i have a problem with backups (i think). I have some old media that got transferred over, i deleted it from my gallery but its getting downloaded again every time i update whatsapp (i can see from the picture details that its media from whatsapp). Every time i delete the pictures, it keeps downloading them again on the next app update, im going a bit mad with this problem. This was not happening on redmi miui so i guess its some setting i have to disable, but i dont know which.

Got into work this morning and saw on WW (Chrome) that images are not showing up. I took a screenshot and posted into WW for someone; the picture went through and reflects on my phone, but is just blank on the chat.

I've tried lots of the solutions presented online and I'm not having any luck with this. I'm going to try a Wix site at this rate and move my sites over. Very disappointing and now clients are complaining.

Particularly detestable are "Good Morning" images that are sent by the same individuals in multiple group chats, resulting in media duplication and serves no purpose other than to take up precious storage space on my phone and thereby shortening its effective lifespan.

Looking closely at the file naming scheme of WhatsApp media, I realized that the date is still preserved in the filename. For example, in one of the images: IMG-20191008-WA0009.jpeg, we can see that the photo was taken in 2019-10-08 with WhatsApp WA, and was the 9th photo of the day 0009. This means that the file naming scheme is as follows:

This article describes how to resolve the problem of not being able to send/receive images and documents on WhatsApp.

Solution

If an application Control profile is used in the policy, ensure that all the WhatsApp signatures are set to 'Allow':

So, if you're also wondering why WhatsApp images are not showing in the gallery, there is nothing to worry about. This issue is quite common for both Android and iPhone users. But luckily, you can easily fix the problem all by yourself.

Still, WhatsApp images were not showing in the gallery. Consider restarting your smartphone. This is the easiest way to remove any minor WhatsApp glitch hindering its normal functioning.

Often, there's malware or a bug in the WhatsApp cache files, which can be why the WhatsApp images folder is not showing in the gallery. Deleting the WhatsApp cache is a handy option to confirm this.

One common cause of "WhatsApp images are not showing in the gallery" is using an outdated version of WhatsApp. Not only it deprives you of the latest features and upgrades, but it also leads to performance issues in the app.

It's quite common to experience WhatsApp images not showing in the gallery issue. But now, you know multiple ways to fix this problem without additional help. All the workarounds we mentioned are easy to implement for everyone.

Saving photos from WhatsApp on Android is simple. You can choose between the automatic and manual methods at your convenience. You can activate the setting to auto-save media on WhatsApp. This will download all images and videos from WhatsApp on your device.

Once your WhatsApp images are downloaded to your smartphone, you can edit or print them. Or you could permanently back up your photos by using storage media such as cloud storage, memory cards, external hard drives, or the internal one on your PC or laptop.

So my question is how did the original poster uploaded the image? How did (s)he avoided the compression part of the WhatsApp (because WhatsApp will compress any uploaded images which will result in losing transparency) ? Is there any API or way to upload transparent PNG images that I am missing?

This is a simple trick! As you may check before, Whatsapp change image file extension to .jpeg even it is png, tiff or gif. If you open Whatsapp downloaded image in a binary app such as Notepad you will find the real extension. For this particular instance the exact extension is Png with alpha channel in lips area.

The trick is using Whatsapp feed background as image background and the magic will emerge. Feed background is white when the feed is posting from else to you, then you see the lips at pink color. When you maximize the image, background is black, then you will see the lips sexy red. When you share the photo to another one, the background is light green, then you will see the lips with green flavor.

Bingo!!!

Deleting WhatsApp images from the iPhone and Android is suggested because it will clutter your device with media files. WhatsApp is an advantage for quicker online communication; it even protects every sent and received message with end-to-end encryption. But with higher resolution, the pictures, videos, and audio files you receive will consume too much space to the point you will run out of storage on your device. To prevent this, you can try some solutions to delete bulk files from WhatsApp.

Deleteing the WhatsApp images on iPhone enables you to withdraw the actions if you accidentally delete something you want to keep. But the withdraw can only work if you have backed up your WhatsApp on iCloud for all you messages, data, information, and photos.

Apart from executing such delicate actions like removing WhatsApp images from your iPhone, iPhone Cleaner lets you easily get rid of other unwanted apps on iPhone, including your WhatsApp, which can be a great way to free up some iPhone storage or fixing the app glitches issue.

Files by Google was designed to manage the meager phone storage on super-cheap phones running the Android Go edition. You can use the same AI smarts to filter out the WhatsApp files to be trashed. The Clean section of the app gives an overview of what's taking up the most space and offers suggestions based on what's in those images.

The Files app highlights the WhatsApp images folder, so you don't have to dig for the folder. That's handy if you prefer looking at your WhatsApp media in one place instead of getting to them one chat at a time.

Google Photos continues to be the best photo management app for Android, and it's no surprise that it works well for managing WhatsApp media. Still, keep your Google Photos feed organized. If you don't, you'll learn how quickly 15GB of free Google Drive storage can disappear.

WhatsApp will be updating the app with a feature that will maintain the good quality of images sent through it, the app announced earlier this week.Over the years, our use of WhatsApp has extended beyond conversations with friends and family, and nowadays, it also serves as a platform for quick media transfer.Along with the convenience, the main issue is that images sent through the messaging app undergo compression to reduce file size, which often results in a significant loss of image quality and sharpness. Now, after months of rumors and leaks, WhatsApp has begun releasing the mentioned feature.console.log("BODY2. CatId is:"+catID);if(catID==120){console.log("BODY. YES for anyclip script");var script = document.createElement('script'); script.src = ' -widget/lre-widget/prod/v1/src/lre.js'; script.setAttribute('pubname','jpostcom'); script.setAttribute('widgetname','0011r00001lcD1i_12258'); document.getElementsByClassName('divAnyClip')[0].appendChild(script);}else{console.log("BODY. YES for vidazoo script"); var script = document.createElement('script'); script.src = ' '; script.setAttribute('data-widget-id','60fd6becf6393400049e6535'); document.getElementsByClassName('divVidazoo')[0].appendChild(script); } How does it work? After taking a photo within the WhatsApp camera app or selecting an image from your phone's gallery, an icon with the caption "HD" will appear next to the settings symbol.Tapping on it will open a small menu window under the title "Image Quality," offering the options of "Clearer HD Images" or "Standard Quality Images, taking up less storage space and sending faster." The messaging app does not limit or compress images sent as documents, or files, allowing the image to reach its destination in its original quality.Sign up for the Business & Innovation Newsletter >>

But WhatsApp still has to store media in some location, otherwise how would it show in chats. I am able to access the media while scrolling through a whatsapp chat, even while offline, so the media is definitely getting stored somewhere on my phone. Can I access this location? I have to access many media files that whatsapp must have downloaded somewhere on my phone. ff782bc1db
