ROBOX and ROX Token
CryptoTab users might have noticed a brand-new token advertised on their browsers. ROX Token has been advertised to all CryptoTab Browser users and users of their associated NCWallet. Not to be confused with the currency used in Robotina, Robox is an app that allows users to create/mine ROX that can be uploaded to NCWallet. It has a base value of 1 US$ and although there is no literature on this issue at present, the value appears to be fixed.
Robox comes in three forms. There is the basic mining app and a steps counter that incentivises walking. It appears to provide extra ROX in exchange for your steps. There is also a free VPN that you can use to change your browsing location. It allows Canada, USA, and UK locations for no charge. If you subscribe to a mining package, you'll get extraa locations. You can mint ROX on this app for free just by activating it.
When you activate the app, the ROX counter begins to add value. It's quite slow for the free version, you might make 1 or 2 cents per day. The activation is required every 3 hours. If you use the free option there is a 30 second wait before the earning begins. The free VPN doesn't offer a decent return on the mining. It's only real value comes in when you want to change your location. This can be very useful if your service limits what you can receive at home.
The paid options are extensive. The menu offers several multipliers to the basic rate which also removes the 30 second waiting period. This gives users the option to earn several dollars or several cents per day depending on what you pay. Bearing in mind that NC Wallet gives 6% APR on a daily compound basis, the economics can become lucrative provided you remember to activate the app several times a day.
When you look through the options, you see subscriptions and purchases. The purchases tab is not previous buys, as you might expect, but a yearly subscription menu that provides 50% off. You will struggle to make a profit on the monthly payments, unless you set an alarm to activate in your sleep. The 50% off offer genuinely makes the app profitable. You will have to wait a year to see the full return, which is withdrawable and sellable in ROX. NC Wallet allows you to swap your ROX for any other cryptocurrency. They do free exchanges and their rates are just shy of the natural, so watch for that if dealing in small amounts.
All in all, free crypto is always good, and if you are fortunate enough to be able to invest, then make sure to go for the yearly option and don't forget to activate.
