1. Introduction
This privacy policy applies to the WhatGame app (hereby referred to as "Application") created by the Developers ("Service Provider"). This service is provided as a Free service and is intended for use "AS IS".
2. Information Collection and Use
The Application collects certain information automatically when you download and use it. This may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address.
- Device information (model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers).
- Usage data (the pages you visit, date/time of use, and time spent on the Application).
This data is used solely to improve performance and ensure technical stability.
3. Device Permissions
To provide its core game identification features, the Application requires access to:
- Camera: Used solely to capture a photo of a video game for real-time analysis.
- Photo Gallery: Used only when you manually select an image from your device.
Note: We do not store your photos on our own servers. Images are processed in real-time and discarded immediately after the result is provided.
4. User Authentication
The Application uses Firebase Authentication. Users are registered anonymously via a unique session token. This token does not contain personally identifiable information (PII) such as your real name or email address.
5. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and International Data Transfer
The Application utilizes Google Gemini (Vertex AI) to identify video games.
- Transient Processing: Images are transmitted to Google Gemini via secure APIs for analysis.
- International Transfer (KVKK/GDPR): By using the Application, users (including those in Turkey) explicitly acknowledge and consent to the transfer of their data (images and IP addresses) to global servers located outside of their country for AI processing purposes. This is necessary for the core functionality of the service.

7. Monetization and Future Ads
WhatGame is currently a free service with no advertisements. While we do not display third-party ads at this time, the Service Provider reserves the right to include monetization or advertisements (such as Google AdMob) in the future to cover operational costs.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If a child under 13 provides any data, it will be immediately deleted.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Since we use anonymous authentication and do not store images, we retain minimal personal data. To request the deletion of any data associated with your anonymous token, please contact us at the email address below.
10. Security
We are committed to safeguarding your information through procedural and electronic safeguards. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
