Throughout history there have been many pandemics in addition to the Black Death, such as smallpox, cholera, Spanish flu, AIDS and recently COVID-19.

Like our ancestors who overcame Black Death, our generation has also lived through a global pandemic that has affected millions of people. 

The world stopped, and a lot of money was spent on effective vaccines.  We had learned from previous infections, and we were confined  to our homes .
