Privacy at a glance
What Did They Mean? works without an account. Lessons and learning progress work offline. When online, Google AdMob provides ads and may process device information, IP address, ad interactions, and diagnostic data for advertising, fraud prevention, and measurement. Learning answers and written recall are not sent as ad targeting data. Where required, a consent form lets you choose how advertising data is used. You can reopen available choices in Settings → Ad privacy choices. Google explains its data use at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Learning data on your device
Bookmarks, lesson history, selected answers, written recall, review dates, and preferences are stored in the app’s local storage. The app does not send this data to the developer. Your device’s backup settings may include app data in a device or iCloud backup.
Translation reports you choose to share
A translation report contains the selected lesson ID, phrase, support language, English original, current translation, and the issue and suggested correction you enter. It does not include your learning history. Nothing is sent automatically. You choose a destination in the iPhone share sheet, or cancel. The app or recipient you choose handles the shared copy under its own policies and may receive identifying information, such as your email address, from the service you use.
Speech and permissions
The app asks the system’s text-to-speech service to read the bundled English scripts. It does not record your voice, use speech recognition, or request microphone, location, contacts, or photo-library access. System voice availability and downloads are managed by your device.
Retention and deletion
Learning data stays in the app until you use Settings → Reset progress & preferences or delete the app and its data. Resetting the app does not delete copies you shared with other apps or recipients, or copies in device backups. Manage those copies with the relevant service or your device’s backup controls.
Information you send for support
If you choose to contact the developer, information you send is used to investigate the issue and respond to your request. Send only the information needed to explain the problem. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to address the request and meet applicable obligations. You can request deletion through the same contact channel.

保存与删除
学习数据会保存在应用中，直到你使用“设置 → 重置进度与偏好”或删除应用及其数据。重置不会删除你分享给其他应用或接收方的副本，也不会删除设备备份中的副本。请通过相应服务或设备备份设置管理这些副本。
你发送的支持信息
如果你选择联系开发者，你发送的信息将用于调查问题和回复请求。请只发送解释问题所必需的信息。支持通信仅在处理请求和履行适用义务所需的时间内保存。你可通过同一联系渠道请求删除。

What Did They Mean? funciona sin cuenta. Las lecciones y el progreso funcionan sin conexión. Cuando hay conexión, Google AdMob proporciona anuncios y puede tratar información del dispositivo, dirección IP, interacciones con anuncios y datos de diagnóstico para publicidad, prevención del fraude y medición. Las respuestas y los textos de repaso no se envían para orientar los anuncios. Cuando se requiere, un formulario de consentimiento permite elegir cómo se usan los datos publicitarios. Voz y permisos
La aplicación utiliza el servicio de texto a voz del sistema para leer los guiones en inglés incluidos. No graba tu voz, no usa reconocimiento de voz ni solicita acceso al micrófono, la ubicación, los contactos o la fototeca. Tu dispositivo gestiona la disponibilidad y las descargas de las voces del sistema.
Conservación y eliminación
Los datos de aprendizaje permanecen en la aplicación hasta que uses Ajustes → Restablecer progreso y preferencias o elimines la aplicación y sus datos. Restablecer la aplicación no elimina las copias que compartiste con otras aplicaciones o destinatarios ni las de las copias de seguridad del dispositivo. Gestiona esas copias mediante el servicio correspondiente o los controles de copias de seguridad del dispositivo.
Información que envías para obtener asistencia
Si decides contactar con el desarrollador, la información que envíes se utiliza para investigar el problema y responder a tu solicitud. Envía solo lo necesario para explicar el problema. La correspondencia de asistencia se conserva solo durante el tiempo necesario para atender la solicitud y cumplir las obligaciones aplicables. Puedes solicitar su eliminación por el mismo canal de contacto.
