Call for Proposals

WHAAAM 2025 is looking for demonstrations on a variety of hardware security topics, including but not limited to:

• Evolution of novel and practical threat models

• Software-based exploitation of hardware vulnerabilities

• Power analysis, fault-injection, or side-channels attacks on COTS systems

• Automated techniques for hardware attack discovery

• Study and improvement of security certification schemes

• Real-world cost analysis of fault attacks

• Open-source and open-hardware tooling for attacks

• Evaluation of secure processor or co-processor implementations

• Security evaluation of privacy-preserving (FHE, OT) implementations

• Characterization of commercial cryptographic systems

• Analysis of secure boot implementations

• Systematization of Knowledge (SoK) studies

Proposal Requirements:

• Limited to 1 page in length

• Must include presenter's name, affiliation, title of work, a description of the work, and equipment requirements

• Must be sent to the WHAAAM submission email by June 2, 2025
