Mission of the project
Mission of the project
To develop a history tour about slavery and freedom in West Hartford Center, led by high school students.
Students will help develop an interactive script for each stop, help train tour guides. and deliver tours.
Implementation Timeline :
November 2022 - discuss the seven sites
December 2022 - develop a script with documents
January 16 - publicize at Martin Luther King Day ceremony
February and March - recruit and train guides
April - First trial tour
May and June - tours for townspeople and students
