Overview: Senior Assassins is a water-based elimination game where players aim to "assassinate" their assigned target using water guns while adhering to strict safety and conduct rules. The last player standing wins the prize pot.
Entry Fee: $5 per player, payable to Luke Beck by 11:59 PM on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Payment must be made in cash or via an approved digital method (e.g., Venmo, if specified by organizers).
Upon payment, players receive a unique join code via Instagram DM within 24 hours.
Prize Pot: The total collected fees ($580, assuming 116 players) will be held in a secure lockbox until the game concludes. The winner takes the entire pot.
No Late Entries: Payments received after 11:59 PM on April 18, 2025, will not be accepted. No exceptions.
Eligibility Restriction: Players absent from the state for more than 72 consecutive hours (3 days) during the game are automatically eliminated. Players must notify coordinators in writing (via Instagram or Splashin app) of planned absences exceeding 24 hours.
Official Channels: All game-related communication occurs via Instagram or the Splashin app.
Players must follow the official game Instagram account and enable notifications.
Questions about rules must be submitted via direct message (DM) to coordinators after reviewing these rules.
Response Time: Coordinators will respond to rule clarification requests within 24 hours. Players must not act on assumptions in unclear situations without coordinator approval.
Start Date: Initial targets are assigned on Monday, April 21, 2025, via the Splashin app.
Objective: Each player is assigned one target to eliminate by hitting them with water from an approved water gun. Upon eliminating a target, the player inherits their target’s assigned target.
Players may eliminate inherited targets but are not required to do so to advance.
Elimination Confirmation:
Both the eliminator and eliminated player must confirm the elimination via the Splashin app within 2 hours.
Proof (video) must include both players, clearly showing the water hitting the target. Videos must be timestamped and submitted via the app.
Disputes must be reported to coordinators within 12 hours, with supporting evidence. Coordinator decisions are final.
Round Duration: Each round lasts one week (Monday 12:00 AM to Sunday 11:59 PM).
Players must eliminate their assigned target by the round’s end or be eliminated.
Assistance: Non-players or other players may assist in planning or luring a target but cannot:
Fire the water gun (only the assigned player may shoot).
Making physical contact with the target that affects eliminations are strictly prohibited (Restraining, holding, tackling, taking items or guns).
There must be proof of (Restraining, holding, tackling, taking items or guns) via video or multiple witnesses to overturn elimination.
Honesty: Players must report eliminations honestly. False claims or disputes over clear eliminations may result in disqualification.
Allowed Weapons: Only water guns that shoot a visible stream or spray of water are permitted.
Water must be clean, potable, and free of additives (e.g., no dyes, soaps, or chemicals).
Prohibited Weapons:
Buckets, water bottles, or any method of dumping/throwing water.
Splat guns, Orbeez guns, or realistic-looking water guns (e.g., resembling firearms).
Verification: Coordinators may inspect weapons if reported. Non-compliant weapons result in the user’s disqualification.
Definition: Safety items grant immunity from elimination when worn visibly and correctly.
Approved Safety Items:
Pool Floaties:
Must be inflated and worn around arms, legs, or waist (not neck, head, or elsewhere).
Only one floaty is required, but it must be brightly colored and contrast with clothing (e.g., no black floaty on black clothing).
Goggles:
Must be worn over the eyes or on the forehead (not neck or held in place by hands/other objects).
Must be swim or safety goggles, not sunglasses or decorative eyewear.
Visibility Rule: Safety items must be fully visible and not obscured by clothing, cover, bags, or other objects.
Code Blue: Safety items grant immunity when worn correctly. If not worn or worn improperly, the player is vulnerable.
Code Red (Purge Days): Safety items do not grant immunity. Players are vulnerable regardless of wearing them.
Purge Days are announced 24 hours in advance via Instagram and the Splashin app.
Multiple Purge Days may occur in a round, specified by coordinators.
Definition: Areas where eliminations are prohibited, even during Purge Days, unless otherwise specified.
School Grounds:
No eliminations on West Genesee High School (WGHS) property, including parking lots, at any time.
No eliminations during WGHS-sanctioned events (e.g., sports practices, games, performances), regardless of location.
Exception: Spectators or attendees at non-WGHS events (e.g., club sports, other schools’ events) are vulnerable unless on WGHS property.
Players are safe during transportation to/from WGHS-sanctioned away games (e.g., bus travel) but vulnerable once off the bus and off WGHS property.
BOCES property is off-limits during school hours (7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday). Outside these hours, it is fair game.
Onondaga Community College (OCC) grounds are fair game, except inside classrooms during class time.
Workplaces:
No eliminations inside a player’s workplace (defined as the interior of the building where they are employed).
Players are safe while clocked in, even outside the building.
Players are not safe at any point they are outside of the building where they are employed provided they are not clocked in or recieving payments for there duties.
Parking lots before/after work hours are fair game unless the player is clocked in.
Volunteer Locations:
No eliminations inside a location where a player is actively volunteering (e.g., soup kitchen, animal shelter, sports).
Parking lots before/after volunteering are fair game.
Places of Worship:
No eliminations inside public places of worship (e.g., churches, temples, mosques).
Parking lots are fair game, but players must act respectfully and leave if asked by staff or attendees.
Homes(residences)
No eliminations inside a target’s home unless invited by a permanent resident (e.g., parent, sibling, not the player).
Open garages are considered outdoors and fair game unless the player is told to leave by a resident.
Players may shoot through an already-open window, door, or screen, but cannot open windows/doors themselves(breaking in).
Authority Directives:
If any adult (coach, school official, property owner) or permanent resident (Not Including affected players) instructs a player to leave a location and or not allow game to continue on their property the player must comply immediately and fully exit the property and or comply with directives.
Eliminations attempted during or after such a directive are null and void.
Failure to comply may result in disqualification and potential reporting to authorities.
Elimination Conditions:
Eliminations are valid only when the vehicle is stationary (0 MPH), off, or in park.
Only passengers (not drivers) may attempt eliminations, shooting through open windows or sunroofs.
Only one passenger per vehicle may shoot at a time to minimize distractions.
Safe Zones:
Players inside a locked, stationary vehicle are immune to elimination(You can open doors if unlocked).
Moving vehicles are not safe zones, but eliminations are restricted to low-speed zones (e.g., parking lots, residential streets with speed limits ≤ 25 MPH).
Prohibited Actions:
No eliminations on public roads, highways, or areas with active traffic (speed limits > 25 MPH).
Players cannot use vehicles to block, trap, chase, or intimidate others, even in low-speed zones.
Any vehicle-related damage (e.g., to cars, property) results in immediate disqualification.
Safety Compliance:
Players must follow all local traffic laws (e.g., seatbelts, no phone use while driving) at all times.
Coordinators may disqualify players for reckless or threatening vehicle behavior, with potential reporting to authorities.
Requirement: Players must keep location services fully enabled on their primary device (phone) at all times.
Violations:
Intentional disabling of location services (e.g., turning off GPS) results in immediate elimination.
Non-intentional issues (e.g., phone dying, low power mode) trigger a warning via the Splashin app.
Players must resolve the issue (e.g., charge phone, disable low power mode) within 2 hours or face elimination.
Monitoring: The Splashin app tracks location in the background. Players must grant necessary permissions and ensure their device supports continuous tracking.
Ball Suspension:
The game is fully suspended on the day(s) of the WGHS Ball, from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
No eliminations are allowed, including before, during, or after Ball-related activities (e.g., getting ready, photos, after-parties).
Play resumes at 12:00 AM the Sunday following Ball(subject to change)
Purge Days:
Announced 24 hours in advance via Instagram and Splashin app.
Safety items are invalid, but all off-limit zones remain enforced.
Flash Purges:
Short-duration events (2–6 hours) where safety items do not grant immunity.
Announced at least 1 hour in advance via Instagram and Splashin app, specifying start time, end time, and duration.
Off-limit zones (e.g., school grounds, workplaces, places of worship) remain enforced.
Flash Purges may occur multiple times per round and do not replace regular Purge Days.
Example: A Flash Purge from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM means players are vulnerable only during that window, regardless of safety items.
Code Red/Code Blue:
Code Red: No safety items grant immunity (same as Purge Days).
Code Blue: Safety items grant immunity when worn correctly.
Codes are announced daily via communication channels.
Trespassing:
Players must leave private property immediately if instructed by a permanent resident or authority figure (e.g., homeowner, coach, security).
Lingering (e.g., hiding behind cars) after being told to leave may result in disqualification.
Respectful Behavior:
Players must avoid disruptive actions (e.g., excessive noise, loitering) that could prompt complaints to WGHS or authorities.
Any reported misconduct (e.g., vandalism, harassment) results in immediate disqualification and potential legal consequences.
WGHS Disclaimer: This game is not affiliated with West Genesee High School. Actions reflecting poorly on WGHS may lead to disqualification.
Process:
Disputes (e.g., contested eliminations, rule violations) must be reported to coordinators via the Splashin app within 12 hours, with evidence (e.g., video, screenshots).
Both parties will be heard, and coordinators will issue a final decision within 24 hours.
Finality: Coordinator decisions are binding and cannot be appealed.
Falsification: Providing false evidence or lying during disputes results in disqualification.
Round Deadlines:
Players must eliminate their assigned target by 11:59 PM on the last day of the round (Sunday).
Failure to eliminate the target results in automatic elimination.
Other Eliminations:
Rule violations (e.g., using prohibited weapons, trespassing).
Absence from the state for >72 hours without coordinator approval.
Failure to comply with location tracking requirements.
Unsportsmanlike conduct (e.g., refusing to acknowledge a valid elimination).
Player Responsibility: Players assume full responsibility for their actions. Coordinators are not liable for misconduct, injuries, or property damage caused by participants.
Rule Agreement: By paying the entry fee and joining, players agree to abide by these rules. Violations result in disqualification without refund.
Coordinator Role: Coordinators organize the game and enforce rules but are not responsible for participant behavior.
