A SCHOOL-WIDE SERVICE
CHALLENGE
So much has changed, but we're still in this together!
This past year has been difficult for many of us. Now more than ever, we should be leaning on each other and helping others when we can. We've seen the impact a pandemic can have on our world and even close to home. This challenge is our chance to make a difference in our community!
For many years, the Chelsea Center has organized our annual Sophomore Service Day in the spring. Last year's service day unfortunately had to be cancelled along with most events happening all over the world. While many students have returned to in-person classes and many businesses have reopened, we are still faced with the same concerns as last year, making a typical Sophomore Service Day difficult to safely execute.
Thankfully, we've found a solution: our service challenge, Dub-G Does!
The goal of this challenge is to offer all students the resources to independently and successfully volunteer in the community, while also earning credit hours. Open to all high school grade levels, WGHS staff and WGSD staff, this project allows participants to use social media as a way to share their experiences and inspire others to take action as well! As an independent project, we hope to encourage students' self-sufficiency in real-world scenarios.
Team Chelsea will be available to assist students along the way.
Help us get to 500 volunteer hours by May 9th!
