11/8/24:  Ray Horn has set up a Celebration of Life for Linda Horn from 1 to 3pm on the 16th of November at the United Lutheran Church on Cooper Road. Linda passed away late October after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.  Known as a golfer and quilter, Linda was very active with the Calico Cut Ups quilt guild in Bella Vista -- especially working with the Special Projects Small Group who donates quilts etc. for the various charities.

11/7/24:  Sarah Huff recently had shoulder surgery.  Cards and prayers for a speedy recovery are welcomed. Get back into the swing of things soon Sarah!

10/28/24: Jan Holm's husband, Jerry, passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, at Circle of Life Hospice. There will be a memorial service Saturday, Nov. 2, at 10:00 at St. Theodore's Episcopal Church. An obiturary is posted at http://www.funeralmation.com. Please keep her and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

10/17/24:  Our dear friend Rhonda Butz has suffered another family tragedy. Her son Jeremy Fish recently passed away suddenly and the family needs our help. Michelle Poplin has started a GoFundMe page to raise funds to support her son's family after his tragic death. He was an incredible individual who touched the lives of many. As a radiation therapist, he dedicated his life to helping others, but what truly stood out was his bright, happy personality and unwavering positivity. He was a loving husband and father who worked hard to provide for his wife and two young children, always putting them first. His sudden passing has left his family not only emotionally devastated but also facing financial uncertainty. The funds raised will help them navigate this difficult time, offering some relief as they grieve and begin to rebuild their lives.

Our hearts go out to Rhonda and her family.  Please keep them in your prayers.  Rhonda's address is 21 Parkridge Dr, Bella Vista, AR 72715

10/10/24:  Jan Burkybile was a long time member of the 18 hole WGC.  She is suffering from tongue cancer and it has gotten worse again.  She will be undergoing immune therapy for the next year to help stop the spread.  Please keep her in your prayers and let her know that you care about her.  She needs our support.

10/4/24:  Kathy Dinwoodie is home recovering from a hip replacement.  Per Jim, she will be uncomfortable for a few days which is expected,   but recovery begins now. Sending prayers for a speedy recovery!

9/30/24:  Tom Pyle passed from this earth to go walk with his Lord and Savior.  Many of you were dear friends of Tom and Biddy Pyle.  They resided in Bella Vista for over 20 years.  They were not only avid lovers of golf but supported golf in many ways, supporting the men’s and women’s clubs, involved in playing and working tournaments here and all over the US.

On 9/25/2019 Tom survived a life changing bike accident leaving him in a wheelchair.  Some may not know the photo we have on the WGC home page of golf genius and Facebook page is of our WGC Ladies sending our hearts and prayers to Tom and Biddy as they dedicated their lives to rehabilitation in Austin, TX.  That photo hung in their room to remind them of the support of this club and from Bella Vista, a community they loved and called home.  They were able to return to BV and live here for a couple of years before deciding to return to Austin to be close to one of their daughters and family and also the rehab facilities there. They enjoyed a couple of years in Austin staying very busy with their family, making many new friends and of course Tom never stopped working on his rehab to be as healthy and strong as possible and our Biddy was always, always by his side cheering him on.  I don’t have enough words or space to describe how dedicated their relationship was to each other.  And how they aspired to always live life to its fullness with happiness and faith.  Truly Inspiring!

In February Tom made the decision to forego treatments for the cancer invading his body (throat).  He made that choice with his faith in God and the love of his family supporting him.  Once again, Tom amazed us by pushing through the obstacles that the cancer threw at him, never losing his sense of humor, his smiles or his faith.  With his amazing Biddy by his side he finished his journey in peace with love surrounding him.

Please share with friends who knew Tom and Biddy.

Here is Biddy’s address If you would like to send her and the family condolences.

“Friends of Sandy Trigg,

First and foremost, Thank you for loving our sweet Sandy. We are hosting a Gathering of Friends to remember our Friend, Dandy Sandy, on Friday 6/7 at 23 Brompton Drive, Bella Vista at 3:00 pm. There will be snacks (like Sandy and Pat thought it was pimento cheese and grilled hot dogs), Sandy’s favorite wine, and a lovely opportunity to share Sandy stories. It’s still hard to believe our friend has left this world and gone on to be with the love of her life, Pat, but she’d want us to share time and smile. She will be remembered fondly and with much love. Please feel free to include others, as a crowd to entertain was her “gig”! Hugs to each of you.”
