My name is William Gao and I'm a former high school varsity basketball player that's transitioned into coaching/training. Now, as a basketball coach, my main goal is to help players of all ages and levels reach their full potential! On this website, clients and viewers will find out about who I am, my photo gallery, virtual and in person training information, and contact information! Let's get better together! 🏀👊

My playing resume:

• Played organized/competitive basketball from 4th to 12th grade

• 3 Year high school basketball player (2 years on varsity as a junior and senior, 1 year on JV as a sophomore)

• Started in 8 varsity games (senior year) at point guard, and 4 JV games (sophomore year) at both guard positions

• Started in 9 varsity summer league games (2024) at guard and small forward

• Coaches' Award Recipient (as player 2024-25 season)

My coaching resume:

• Coached 3 summers of basketball camps at Skyhawks Sports Academy

• Camp Director for 1 summer, leading basketball camps at Skyhawks Sports Academy

• For in person basketball training I am located in Sunnyvale, California but I am able to commute to surrounding cities in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In Person Training Info: 

• For players located in the San Francisco Bay Area I offer 2 types of in person training at 1080 Mango Ave, Sunnyvale, CA, 94087. In person (1 on 1) and small group (3 to 5 players). 

Private 1 on 1 Training Info: 

• Private 1 on 1 sessions will be 60 minutes long and cost $40 each session. Each session will be tailored to the players' needs in their team settings and/or personal basketball goals. 

• I offer a package option where players can purchase 6 private sessions for the price of 5.

Small Group Training Info: 

• Small group training (3 to 5 players) will be 60 minutes long and cost $35 each session. Each session will be revolved around a specific skill (e.g. shooting, scoring, ball handling, etc.). 

• I also offer a package option where players can purchase 6 group sessions for the price of 5. 

How to Book an In person training session?

Virtual Training Info:

• I understand that some of you may not be located near the Bay Area, California but still want to train! 

• I have offered an alternative method for long distance clients to train with me! I am offering a one time purchase of $75 for a video playlist that tackles all basketball fundamentals, game applications, and drills/workouts ready for you to try!
