Library Juice Academy
Library Juice Academy offers a range of online professional development workshops for librarians and other library staff, focusing on practical topics to build new skills. The curriculum is designed by librarians with a focus on skills that are in demand in the profession, rather than the academic tradition of library education that tends to address other priorities. Emphasis is on student interaction with instructors and with each other, supported by a variety of class assignments and reading materials. The instructors are librarians and LIS faculty who have developed specialized knowledge in the subjects they teach. Their workshops earn Continuing Education Units, and are intended as professional development activities. Workshops are taught asynchronously, so you can participate as your own schedule allows, with assignments in one-week segments.
Every Library
If you're worried about the impact of this crisis on the future of your library's funding, or if you’re concerned that libraries have lost nearly 20% of voter support for local funding in the last ten years, or if you're a school librarian and concerned about the closure of school libraries across the country, or if your library organization is worried about ensuring continued support for library funding during a recession, this webinar series will help you build the tools, skills, and strategies you need to keep your doors open and continue serving the public.
