Interested parties may nominate a qualified athlete, coach, team, or contributor by clicking the link above between April 1st and September 1st of any given year
Nomination and Selection Process:
A maximum of 10 individuals and 1 team will be inducted into the Hall of Fame every year
Any individual with a demonstrated interest in the Weymouth High School Athletic Program may submit a nomination. An individual may not nominate themselves for induction.
Posthumus Nominations Accepted
Hall Of Fame Committee will consist of 9 individuals a Chairperson and principal and Athletic Director.

Once an individual has been nominated, their nomination will remain active for a period of 5 years or until such time they are inducted into the Hall of Fame.
In order to maintain the integrity of the WHS Hall of Fame, all nominees must exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct and moral character.
All decisions made by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee are final.
Criteria:
Student/Athlete/Individual
Athletes will be eligible for induction 10 years after graduation
The athlete must have attended Weymouth High SchoolWeymouth North/Weymouth South for a minimum of 2 years and be a graduate of Weymouth High School
The athlete must have played a varsity sport.
The athlete must have conducted themselves in such a way as to reflect honor on the school and must exhibit character and qualities consistent with being a role model within the community.
Weymouth reserves the right to remove any individual from the Hall of Fame for personal conduct which reflects negatively on themselves and the school district.

Outstanding Statistical Achievement in an Individual Sport
Coach
Coach must have coached a varsity team at Weymouth High School for a minimum of 10 years
Coach will become eligible for the Hall of Fame immediately upon their retirement or 5 years after leaving employment at Weymouth High School
A coach with 25 or more years of experience at Weymouth High School may also be considered for nomination prior to retiring or leaving employment.

Coach of the Year honors
Career winning percentage
Athletic success of individuals coaches
Years of coaching service
Leadership roles in state or national coaching association
Conduct and professionalism will be a factor
Team
Teams will be eligible for induction 10 years after all members of the team have graduated
Teams must somehow have distinguished themselves above and beyond the normal standards. These may include: undefeated seasons, league championships, regional championships, state tournament appearances.
No more than one team in any year shall be selected in one year and the committee may choose not to select any team.
Contributing Member to the Athletic Department
Candidate must have made outstanding contributions or offered extraordinary services to the student athletes and the athletic program at Weymouth High School
Candidates do not need to be graduates of Weymouth High School
Hall of Fame Selection Committee:
Duties, Responsibilities, and Guidelines:
Committee Members will attend all the regularly scheduled selection meetings and evaluate the nominations
Approve only those individuals who had significant and or long-term athletic contributions to Weymouth Public Schools
Evaluate and update the policies and operational procedures and provide recommendations for positive change
A quorum must be present in order for any business to be transacted. A quorum shall be ⅚ or the committee present.
A consensus is necessary for all decisions regarding policy and procedure changes. If a consensus cannot be reached then a vote can be taken, but must be a majority vote.
No member of the committee will be eligible for induction while serving on the selection committee
