Pam Marchant has reluctantly decided to give up her duties as Church Steward. The first occasion Pam’s name appears in the Church Council Minutes is dated 24th February 1998, and since then a record of those attending has always included Pam’s name.
Val wrote at the time: “Pam has kindly agreed to replace a previous member as a West Town representative on the Churches Together in Backwell committee” So began Pam’s involvement with the running of our Church, and reporting on the activities of Backwell churches. In 2010 at Church Council, Pam spoke about her role as leader of Junior Worship within the church and how important it is to have a place for children each Sunday morning to learn at their own level about the Bible, and its significance within their lives. Pam always had material prepared to teach those attending whatever their age. Over the years Pam has been involved with Ready Teddy Sing, Women’s World Day of Prayer, Lent groups and many more activities.
So, thank you Pam for all those years of service to West Town.
