Christian Aid Week  

Thanks to all who supported this great cause, donating online or filling in envelopes.  We are grateful to Parker’s for being the Collection Point, and to Carol Lomas, our Christian Aid treasurer. The total amount raised from the envelopes was £412.60, with an extra £77.50 from gift aid, making a total of £490.10.

Christian Aid has sent a heartfelt thank you for your gifts, acts and prayers during Christian Aid week. Together we’ve seen an incredible week of generosity, compassion and community spirit,. Your support helped communities around the world access the tools, resources and opportunities they need to thrive.   Julie

Cuppa and Strawberry Tea

Thank you so much Heather for your organisational skills and your wonderful helpers on the day. Thanks to scone makers, and donations for strawberries, cream and jam.  Slightly less numbers than usual owing to various other activities, but particularly lovely to see the families with young children who supported us. Thank you Rhiannon. It was a happy occasion, and we offered God’s love and caring concern to our wider community. £225 was donated for the Backwell Playing Fields Fund.

The Hub - Monday mornings, 10.00 a.m. – 12 noon, where a warm welcome awaits you, with a cuppa and a chat.

Backwell Prayer Group - Monday 6 July at Backwell Baptist Church.  7.15p.m. for a 7.30p.m. start.

The Editor, Jane, is moving later this year, so the magazine will need a new Editor, and also a Treasurer, Advertising Manager and Distribution Manager!  Applicants need to engage with I.T.  If anyone can help in any way please contact Jane.
