Description

Cleveland, Ohio is a beautiful city and my birthplace. It is a small city and once you have stayed for a while, you will understand just how small it is. The people here do a wonderful job of looking out for one another, which is one of the reasons I tend to thank the Lord for placing me here. Established in 1796, Cleveland is known for its beautiful landscapes, vibrant art, cultural scenes, musical history, and the very great Cleveland Clinic Medical Center. Cleveland has several popular sports teams such as the Browns and the Cleveland Cavaliers and it is also sometimes called ‘the birthplace of Rock and Roll.’ Cleveland is still developing its identity but from the residence perspective, Cleveland is best known for its Friendly Metroparks, The Cleveland Public Library, Downtown Cleveland, and Lake Erie

Change over time

In the 1850s Cleveland annexed Ohio City. Sometime later, the pearl market that sat across the street from what is now known as the west side market, outgrew the wood farmed building that housed it since 1868. In 1902 the land (across the street from the Pearl Market) was purchased and became ‘the Westside Market’ in 1912.
