Over recent months, we have actively engaged the community gathering signatures, hosting community meetups, and consulting and liaising with community stakeholders and local businesses. The consistent feedback we have received shows widespread public backing to transform the open space behind Westport Leisure Park into a welcoming and accessible public park.
We are working in joint collaboration with local councillors to put together a proposal which we will present to the Council.
If you would like to contribute your vision for what should be included in the area you can use our online consultation form or contact Westport Action For Youth to set up a meeting with your community group.
Our Interactive Vision Board is on the Move!
We've been out and about in the community gathering your ideas and votes for what you'd love to see in a future community park. So far, we've visited the local Parent and Toddler Group, Wild West, Westport Leisure Park, and Westport FRC Social Club – thank you to everyone who added their voice!
The Vision Board has now landed at Westport Library – so if you haven’t had your say yet, pop in, grab a sticker, and cast your vote! Your input helps shape a park that truly reflects what our community wants.
