Below are the broad objectives of the Equity Study. However, we recognize that the study is not a panacea, but rather an important step in an ongoing process to ensure all students experience a deep sense of belonging, affiliation, and access to opportunities in our schools.

(1) Determine the extent to which our policies and practices provide broad and equitable access for all students to programs and opportunities.

(2) Determine the extent to which our school culture and climate are welcoming and foster a deep sense of belonging so that the stories, cultures, and identities of all students are seen, heard, and valued.

(3) Determine the extent to which our curriculum and instructional approaches prepare all students for a very diverse world when they graduate from our system.

(4) Develop an action plan, which will be integrated into the climate and cultural components of the district's multi-year strategic plan.
