The Mission of Westover PTO is to coordinate a strong volunteer organization and to raise funds to be used to enhance the learning experience of our students. This includes assisting teachers in the classroom setting, raising funds for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supporting school and family social interaction and providing a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children. The Westover PTO will work to bring a closer relationship between the home and school so that parents and teachers cooperate in the education of their children.

Mural Installation

Westover students are planning to create a Mural to be installed in the front hall of our school!

Our mural will measure 6 feet high by 12 feet long. Inspired by the many works of art on the walls of Davenport Ridge school, our mural will be painted using acrylic paint on 1/4 inch thick plexiglass. Another layer of plexiglass on top of our art will protect it for years to come.

Our theme will be Westover School surrounded by local landmarks. We will frame it with a patchwork boarder, reminiscent of the work of Faith Ringgold. Paint will be applied in the Pointillism style, allowing for a uniformity of application.

All grades from K to 5th will be participating in our mural's creation, from brainstorming to drawing and painting!  We look forward to achieving our fundraising goal to make our mural a reality come spring!

We need your help to raise money for the supplies! Our goal is $2,200 from individual donations and grants.

Thank you!

Teacher Appreciation

May 8-12

A week long celebration to honor all the extraordinary work that our teachers and staff do. The PTO takes a minute to say thank you with meals, fun gifts, and treats throughout the week.

We appreciate parent volunteers that help us prep, serve and help create a great week for our teachers.
