THis is the rules pack for the 2025 West Middenland Open. Rules for 2026 will be released after there is more data on the Blood Bowl 25 rules.
Rosters are purchased with a treasury of 1,200,000 gold crowns to buy players, team rerolls, and staff such as apothecaries, cheerleaders and assistant coaches.
If you have an official Percy The Troll due to winning the wooden spoon, you may count it as 1 free Assistant coach.
All teams currently approved for tournaments will be allowed to play. This includes the teams in the Blood Bowl 2025 Rule book, Spike Magazines released after the BB25 rules and the NAF-approved Slann roster.
The only inducements allowed are:
0-1 Team Mascot
0-1 Weather Mage
0-2 Blitzer’s Best Kegs
0-3 Bribes (0-6 for teams with the Bribery and Corruption special rule)
0-1 Mortuary Assistant
0-1 Plague Doctor
0-1 Riotous Rookies
0-2 Wandering Apothecaries
0-1 Halfling Master Chef

15 points for a win

0 points for a loss
1 point per touchdown (up to a maximum of 3)
1 point per CAS† caused (up to a maximum of 3)
1 point for a clean sheet
† Any and every action that causes a casualty counts – including fouls, surfs and bombs as well as good old-fashioned hitting people hard.
The following prizes will be awarded:
First Place
Second Place
Third Place
Most Brutal
Best Defence
Best Offense
Stunty cup
Best Painted
It is only possible to win one prize per team (except Best Painted). If the overall winner also scores most touch- downs, the latter will cascade down to the next best.
If the Cheering Fans result is rolled on the Kick Off Table the winning coach must roll on the Percy the Troll table (See Page 4) rather than gaining a free assist.
In the event of a tie, both coaches roll on the Percy the Troll table
Rounds are 2 hours and 15 minutes. Whilst some leeway can be provided you risk missing lunch (Percy is after all, Always Hungry) and causing the whole tournament to run late. If the refs ask you to put your dice down and report the match as it is, unfortunately that’s it.
Respect your opponents and the coaches around you. Blood Bowl is a stressful game and tempers can fray but it’s up to you to manage yourself.
Your opponent is fully entitled to ask to share your dice, and vice versa. If you’re not willing to share a set of dice, don’t use them.
