Our first cohort of engineering summer students have just completed their summer projects. Congratulations to: Jennifer Wang, Clayton McCormack and Minghuan Xu for a successful and learning filled summer! Also, we are so excited to announce that Minghuan will extend her research project this coming term into an undergraduate thesis. We are so excited to have you remain on board, Minghuan! We are delighted to have hosted the trauma clinical research team and to welcome to new summer interns, Clayton, Jennifer and Minghuan, to WEST Lab for the 2025 summer! Pawel put together a wonderful lab tour, and we have been really busy with setting up the new studies and getting those on the way. May, 2025.
Our paper titled, The Lived Fracture Experience (LiFE) study: A mixed methods qualitative study research protocol exploring the lived experiences of fracture non-union patients, has just been published in PLOS One. April, 2025.

Research assistant, Nadia Aghili's work, Evaluating the impact of AI in orthopaedics: a systematic scoping review of current evidence and research gaps in the knee joint, has been accepted as a podium presentation at the AI in Orthopaedics and MSK 2024 meeting on the 20th December 2024 in London, United Kingdom.
