Strings & Piano Lessons

Kymbre Westhoff is a Kansas City orchestra director and performer. She holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Lindenwood University and a Masters Degree in Music Education from Boston University. Kymbre performs with the Lee's Summit Symphony as a cellist.

Kymbre has 20 years of cello performance experience.

Kymbre has been teaching music (violin, viola, cello, bass, beginning piano) for 8 years with students of varying ages and levels of music accomplishment, from early childhood through college level.

In addition to a Suzuki method approach, Kymbre includes building all types of musical knowledge such as technique, theory, and aural training through fun exercises and other outside resources based on the student’s age and level of playing. She encourages imagination and abstract concepts like speed and musical feeling in music to all her students. She is also very encouraging of parents becoming involved in the music making process with their child.

Kymbre and her wife, Tessa, enjoy traveling to National Parks, visiting local coffee shops, and cheering on the KC Current.
