How to Register (and Compete) for the ACSL

To participate in the ACSL competitions, you first need to establish a (free) account on HackerRank. You should NOT use your school email address for your credentials since HackerRank will not be able to send email to this account. Instead, use your personal email address. After establishing your account, email your teacher/mentor to have him/her invite you to the competition.

Schedule of ACSL Contests for 2023-2024

There are four contests during the regular season. The window during which each contest can be accessed on HackerRank is as follows. 

• Contest #1: available Nov. 1, 2023; closes Sunday January 14, 2024 @ 11:59pm EST

• Contest #2: available Jan. 2, 2024; closes Sunday March 3, 2024 @ 11:59pm EST

• Contest #3: available Feb. 5, 2024; closes Sunday April 7, 2024 @ 11:59pm EDT

• Contest #4: available March 11, 2024; closes Sunday May 12, 2024 @ 11:59pm EDT

Based on the scores during the regular season, top students in all divisions will be invited to participate in an online Finals competition:

• Invitations E-mailed: May 1, 2024 through May 16, 2024

• Invitational Finals: Saturday, May 25, 2024 (Memorial Day weekend in the United States)
