5th Grade Band

WELCOME TO 5th GRADE BAND & CHOIR!!

As your student goes into 5th Grade they are asked to choose between either Band or Choir as part of the 5th grade requirement at Western Reserve. 

If your student chooses Band there are some additional things you will need to do in order for them to succeed! There are also different requirements that they will need to provide each class in order to be instructed properly. 

This includes:

• Instrument Rental (through the school or outside source - additional fee) *

• Purchase of the Standard of Excellence Book (instrument specific) 

• Outside Lessons around their instrument**

*Please note that Financial Assistance is available through WRMB for those needing to rent through the school only. Please contact Ashley  Gerchak for more information and assistance with this. 

**Please note that lessons are not required but highly recommended

All Students in 5th Grade will have the opportunity to participate in our Winter & Spring Fundraisers! In the past it has been the yearly Fruit Sale in the Winter and the Popcorn Sale in the Spring. (these are subject to change)

We have included some references on where to obtain your students rental instrument, band book and lessons below! Please do not hesitate to reach out to a WRMB Board Member or Mrs. Shewell with any questions you may have!
