Research Coordinator, Assistant Professor of Surgery & Clinician Scientist, Associate Medical Director - Trauma Program
The Division of General Surgery at Western University is extremely proud of our Resident Research Program. Residents are expected to complete novel research 4 of their 5 years in training. In the first year, residents and their research supervisor work together to create a publication-ready manuscript. In their second year, residents choose a research stream for the remainder of their residency (resident research streams shown below). Resident research at Western is supported by a Resident Research Director, Epidemiologists, and Research Assistants. Our residents have a tremendous track record of success with both presentation at National and International meetings, as well as publications (publication list shown below). For any questions about resident research at Western, please email our Resident Research Director, Dr. Kelly Vogt (Kelly.Vogt@lhsc.on.ca).
