Monthly Dinners

During the month the social committee hosts events at the clubhouse. There is a nominal fee to pay for supplies at some events.  Each year there is a Thanksgiving dinner and a Christmas breakfast.  Several times a year there are events with entertainment which may include a fee. The date and time for these events are posted around the community in advance and a signup sheet is posted at the pool bulletin board. You must sign up to attend.

Sip & Dip

On Thursdays between 4:00pm and 6:00pm, neighbors gather in the clubhouse with appetizers and conversation. No reservation is required. Bring an appetizer to share and your own beverage of choice.

The Circle

During the covid pandemic a new tradition was started. Because the pool area was closed, on Wednesday and Saturday nights, from 7:00pm on, neighbors brought their lawn chairs to form a circle outside of the pool area fence to spend some quality time together. The circle tradition has been continued, but now the gathering is in the pool area at the tables and chairs at either end of the pool.

Card Games

Monday nights at 7:00pm in the clubhouse, men gather to play 10ct/20ct poker and the ladies gather to play Nickels. On Tuesday nights the ladies play Hand & Foot.

Mahjong

Tuesday mornings at 10:00am in the clubhouse, neighbors gather to play Mahjong. This is a game usually played by teams of four people with 152 rectangular tiles. The object is to collect winning sets of tiles, as in card games like gin rummy.

Ladies Lunch

On the last Friday of each month the social committee sets a lunch date with a reservation at one of the local restaurants.  A sign up sheet is posted at the pool bulletin board.

Book Club

The book club meets on the first Wednesday of the month at the clubhouse from 2:00-3:30 pm

Pool Activities

A water aerobics group meets at the pool in the mornings, usually at 9:00am.  Also, later in the morning a group will also gather for water jogging.

Note: Upon hearing a 15 second blast from the Plantation Thunderguard Lightning Detection System you should exit the pool immediately. Three short blasts indicate all clear.

Clubhouse Reservation

The clubhouse is open daily from 9:00am to 3:00pm. When the clubhouse is not in use it may be reserved for personal events by posting the event on the calendar hanging on the wall inside the clubhouse. Contact any social committee member to unlock and lock up the clubhouse before and after your event.  A list of social committee members will be posted next to the calendar.
