Our Parish

Our parish covers a large part of Greenock town centre and expands westwards. Around 5000 people live within the parish boundaries. All are welcome to join us for worship and take part in other events  irrespective if you live in the parish area or not. 

The Church of Scotland has produced statistics for our parish to help us better understand the community we seek to serve. 

If our parish was a community of only 100 people

• 5 would be in primary school; 

• 3 would be in high school 

• 28 would be aged between 25 and 44 

• 22 would be aged 65 or over 

• 75 would be of working age (16-74), including 

33 who have no qualifications; 14 who have a University degree 

25 who work full time; 12 who are retired 

• 93 would describe themselves as 'White - Scottish' 

• 11 would describe their health as bad or very bad 

• 10 would be providing unpaid care 

• 31 would say they belonged to the Church of Scotland
