There are multiple ways to support the West Glenville Cemetery. Please consider contributing in the way that works best for you!
Brains -- volunteers are needed to maintain records, manage burials, digitize records, write grant proposals, etc.
Braun -- the cemetery is maintained by volunteers.
Bucks -- headstone repair and cleaning and many other tasks require funds. The cemetery is a 501(c)13 non-profit organization. Your donation is tax-deductible!

For example, in 2017 cemetery board members and volunteers were involved in the following activities.
600+ hours of work were spent on mowing and trimming grass, trimming tree limbs, painting urns, replacing soil over graves, planting grass and watering, maintaining the cemetery roads, buying new and maintaining older equipment.
50+ hours were spent organizing burials, locating and marking plots, establishing ownership, selling lots, record keeping and filing records with the state, bill paying, overseeing burials, establishing procedures.
30+ hours of cemetery record keeping took place including digitizing cemetery records, mapping the sections of the cemetery, digitally connecting the various forms of records, setting up a website, updating by-laws.
15+ hours were spent keeping financial records in order.
20+ hours of work were spent on headstone maintenance including grant writing and working with Boy Scouts to clean and stand old marble headstones, marking stones in need of repair and interfacing with a repair company.
5+ hours were spent setting flags at veterans‘ plots for Memorial Day.
