The second edition of the Workshop on Software Engineering Education (WESEE 2019) co-located with 12th Innovations in Software Engineering Conference (ISEC 2019) was held on 14th February 2019 at CoEP Pune (India).
The workshop had one expert talk of 45 minutes followed by a hands-on activity. The expert talk was on the “Dojo Delivery Model and Coaching” by Ranjith Tharayil from Accenture, India. Dojo labs is an agile process framework for product development. Dojo labs as a process is rooted in the philosophy ‘Less is More’ and embraces the concept of micro sprints and smaller teams.
Two hands-on activities were conducted: "Adoption of Dojo Labs and Wall of Ideas". A total of 20 participants, including 13 academics and 7 industry practitioners, attended the workshop. A report of the WESEE 2019 was published by ACM.
The first edition of the Workshop on Software Engineering Education (WESEE 2018) co-located with Innovations in Software Engineering Conference (ISEC 2018) was held on 9th February 2018 at IIIT Hyderabad (India).
The workshop focused to provide the educators, researchers, and industry practitioners with a platform to share and discuss their experiences related to dealing with the current state and planning for the future state of the global software engineering education. The workshop format was discussion oriented and did not have paper presentations or publications.
The workshop had 4 talks of 20-25 minutes each, two hands-on activities of about 30 minutes each, one activity on a wall of ideas and finally an open-ended concluding discussion. A total of 60 participants including academic faculty members, students, and industry practitioners participated in the workshop.
