How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want a wired over-ear gaming headset that works across consoles and PCs, choose WESEARY Gaming Headset; if you need a plug-and-play USB headset for calls, meetings and desktop work, choose ACANDYA USB Earbuds.
• WESEARY Gaming Headset — biggest strength: true multi-platform wired audio. One 3.5mm jack covers Xbox One and Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Switch, PC, laptops and mobile, so it follows you between the couch, the desk and the console.
• WESEARY Gaming Headset — biggest trade-off: it lives and dies by the 3.5mm jack. Older Xbox controllers need a Microsoft adapter that isn't in the box, and PS3/Xbox 360 are out unless you supply your own adapter.
• ACANDYA USB Earbuds — biggest strength: zero-friction setup. It's USB-A plug-and-play, no drivers, no adapters, with a built-in DAC and in-line controls for volume, play/pause, mic mute and track skipping.
• ACANDYA USB Earbuds — biggest trade-off: it's USB-A only. No 3.5mm jack means no phones, no consoles, no tablets without the right port — it's a computer peripheral first.
• Who each is for: WESEARY for gamers hopping between console and PC; ACANDYA for office, Zoom/Teams work, remote learning and long desktop sessions.
The WESEARY WG2 is built around one idea: one headset, many devices. Its 3.5mm jack connects to Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, laptops and most phones or tablets with a headphone port. That single cable is the whole pitch — you unplug from the console and plug straight into a laptop without hunting for a dongle. There's a catch worth knowing before you buy: older Xbox controllers require a Microsoft adapter, which is not included, and the headset isn't compatible with PS3 or Xbox 360 without an adapter of your own.
Audio-wise, the WG2 uses 50mm dynamic drivers with a 20Hz–20,000Hz frequency range and 32-ohm impedance — an easy load for a controller or phone to drive without a separate amp. The ENC noise-canceling microphone is the other headline feature, aimed at cutting background noise so your voice lands clearly in party chat. Around your ears you get over-ear, skin-friendly memory foam earcups and a lightweight headband, and WESEARY specifically calls out comfort for glasses wearers and long sessions. The headset folds for storage, uses push-button controls, and ships with the headset, a 1-to-2 3.5mm splitter cable, and a user manual, backed by a 12-month warranty. It's an adult/kid/teen fit, in Rock Black.
Buy it if you game across Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC and want one wired headset to rule them all, or you wear glasses and want soft over-ear padding for marathon sessions. Skip it if you're on an older Xbox controller without a Microsoft adapter, you still game on PS3 or Xbox 360, or you want wireless freedom — this is a wired-only 3.5mm headset.
The ACANDYA USB Earbuds are the opposite philosophy: pick one machine, plug in, get to work. The 7.5-foot (2.3m) reinforced USB-A cable is the standout spec — it reaches desktop USB ports under a desk and gives you room to stand, stretch or pace during a call. There's no driver install and no adapter; it works with Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7/XP, Mac OS, Chrome OS and Linux, plus laptops, desktops, Surface, and machines from Dell, HP, Acer and ASUS.
Inside, a built-in DAC digital decoder chip handles the audio, and ACANDYA frames the tuning as balanced bass with clear treble and no distortion, paired with sound-isolating semi-in-ear tips. The high-sensitivity mic is tuned for Zoom, Teams, Skype and Webex, and the in-line control module handles volume, play/pause, mic mute and track switching right on the cable. The semi-in-ear, aluminum-housed design is deliberately light to reduce ear fatigue over an all-day shift, and the smooth housing is meant to keep your ear canal cleaner and ease pressure. It ships with a protective case in Lake Blue, and it's rated for adults and youth.
Buy it if you spend your day in meetings, remote learning or office work on a Windows, Mac, Chrome or Linux machine, or you want a long cable with on-wire mic mute for calls. Skip it if you need console or phone audio — USB-A won't connect to a PS5, Switch or Xbox, and there's no 3.5mm fallback.
• Best for console gaming → WESEARY Gaming Headset. Its 3.5mm jack covers Xbox, PlayStation and Switch; the ACANDYA can't connect to any of them.
• Best for PC and laptop office work → ACANDYA USB Earbuds. USB-A plug-and-play plus an in-line mic mute is exactly what Zoom and Teams calls want.
• Best for multi-device switching → WESEARY Gaming Headset. Moving between console, PC and mobile is just a cable swap, no dongles.
• Best for long-cable freedom at a desk → ACANDYA USB Earbuds. The 7.5ft cord reaches under-desk ports and lets you move; WESEARY's cable is short by design.
• Best for glasses wearers and marathon sessions → WESEARY Gaming Headset. Over-ear memory foam earcups with a lightweight headband versus semi-in-ear tips.
• Best for low ear fatigue all day → ACANDYA USB Earbuds. The lightweight semi-in-ear build is made for hours of meetings without pressure.
• Best for party chat with a boom mic → WESEARY Gaming Headset. The ENC noise-canceling mic is aimed at gaming voice comms.
• Best for a no-hassle setup → ACANDYA USB Earbuds. No drivers, no adapters, no compatibility checklist — just a USB-A port.
My Verdict
With the WESEARY Gaming Headset, switching is physical: unplug the 3.5mm jack from one device and plug it into the next. It covers Xbox One/Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Switch, PC and mobile with a 3.5mm port. Note that older Xbox controllers need a Microsoft adapter, which isn't included.
The ACANDYA USB Earbuds are the easier answer here — it's plug-and-play USB-A with no drivers, and it's listed as compatible with Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7/XP. Plug it into a USB-A port and Windows treats it as a headset. The WESEARY works too, but only through a 3.5mm jack, not USB.
Neither product has a speaker-switching feature — both are wired headsets, not audio switchers. You change output in your computer's sound settings or by unplugging the headset. The ACANDYA's in-line controls handle volume, play/pause, mic mute and track skipping, but not speaker routing.
There's no left/right switching on either product — both are wired with fixed channels. The WESEARY is an over-ear design and the ACANDYA is semi-in-ear, so the correct orientation is marked by the earcup or earbud itself. If audio is reversed, that's a device or cable setting, not a headset feature.
