The University of Tokyo will host the 1st Workshop of the East and South-East Asia Macroeconomic Society on 13-14 September 2025. We are pleased to announce that confirmed keynote speakers are Eric Swanson (University of California, Irvine) and Michael Zheng Song (Chinese University of Hong Kong).
We invite submissions on any area of macroeconomics. Completed manuscripts or extended abstracts can be submitted electronically via

The submission deadline is 23 May 2025. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 6 June 2025.
In conjunction with the workshop, we are exploring the possibility of establishing a society for macroeconomics in East Asia and Southeast Asia. Our goal is to create a platform for regularly holding medium-to-large-scale workshops, as well as occasional small-scale workshops focused on specific topics.
