West Edmonton Youth Evangelistic Series

Hi everyone, my name is Elizabeth, and I am a second-year Psychology student at the University of Alberta here in Edmonton. I am passionate about helping others discover who God created them to be through both faith and learning.

 My favourite Bible verse is Book of Ecclesiastes 3:1: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” This verse reminds me that God’s timing and purpose are present in every stage of life.

 When I’m not studying, I enjoy singing in Portuguese, spending time with my cat, and connecting with others through music and conversation. 

My name is Shanique, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Toronto, where I completed an Honours Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology for Health Science and Sociology. My academic journey has taught me the value of discipline, perseverance, and balancing both personal growth and service to others.

 When I am not reading or studying, I enjoy painting as a creative outlet and spending quality time with my younger brother, Tristan. Some of the simple things that bring me joy are listening to worship music, studying the Bible, and reflecting on God’s promises. My favourite colour is purple, and my favourite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 because it reminds me that God has a purpose and plan for my life, even during seasons of uncertainty.

 My relationship with God is very important to me, and I find comfort, peace, and strength in His Word. Through worship and Bible study, I continue to grow spiritually and learn to trust Him more deeply with every step of my journey.

Hi, I’m Jeronia.I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and currently work as a Lab Technician. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me at the gym, at church, or at home doing puzzles or learning a new skill that has caught my eye.

 One of my favourite Bible verses is Ephesians 6:12 because it reminds me that everything we experience is connected to our spiritual lives, even when it may not seem that way at first. This perspective has helped me look beyond temporary difficulties and emotions, teaching me to trust God instead of trying to fight every battle on my own.

 As a young adult, I often get asked, “What’s next?” It is one question I use to try to answer in detail. Now, I can comfortably say I don't know, but I move forward with faith each day, believing that God is leading me toward something good.

Elizabeth's Bio 

Hi everyone, my name is Elizabeth, and I am a member of North Church. I am currently in my first year at NorQuest College, where I am studying Child and Youth Care, a program that reflects my passion for serving others and supporting young people in meaningful ways.

 My favourite Bible verse is First Epistle to Timothy 4:12: “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.” This verse encourages me to live with purpose and to remember that God can use young people powerfully.

Hi, I am Ire, and I am 15 years old. I currently attend Harry Ainlay High School and am in Grade 10. One of my greatest passions is music, and I enjoy playing a variety of instruments, from the drums to the trumpet. Music has become a way for me to express myself, grow creatively, and connect with others.

In the future, I hope to become an anesthesiologist and pursue a career where I can help and care for people in meaningful ways. My favourite Bible text comes from   Romans 5:3–5 because it reminds me that even in the face of challenges and difficulties, God is building perseverance, character, and hope within us.

My name is Warona Precious. I’m an only child, born and raised in the desert of Botswana. Currently, I reside in Lacombe, entering my third year as a Burman University Theology student. 

Before Burman, I was an Esthetician, where I developed a love for working with my hands and caring for people up close. That same spirit shapes my ministry today, as I aim to reflect the heart of Jesus through intentional service and attentive listening.
