I am an Economics Consultant working for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
As an applied economist, my main areas of interest are: 1) Effects of technical change on labour markets and cross-country income disparities, 2) Informality of labour markets, 3) Economic growth and its determinants, 4) Machine learning and the use of innovative use of data sources.
In the past decade, I had been working as an external consultant for the IDB, ILO, UNDP, UNICEF and ECLAC. I obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Kent. I hold a MSc in Development Economics from the University of Manchester. I also obtained a BA degree in Economics from the Central American University “José Simeón Cañas” in, San Salvador, El Salvador.
