Welcome! I'm Wenwei Peng (彭文威), an Assistant Professor of Economics at Hong Kong Baptist University. 

My research interests lie at the intersection of political economy, law and economics, and development economics. I received my Ph.D. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2023 and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Economics at Harvard University. 

Starting in 2027, I will serve as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Comparative Economics: Political Economy (formerly Journal of Comparative Economics).
