If you want a colorful, disposable solution for a large classroom or a quick airplane trip where volume control isn't the priority, choose Wensdo 120; if you need durable, over-ear protection with adjustable volume limits for long-haul flights and daily student use, choose ZHENWAY Kids Headphones Bulk.
• Wensdo 120: Offers a massive 120-pack of mixed-color in-ear buds with soft silicone tips, perfect for high-volume distribution, but lacks any built-in microphone or volume limiting features.
• ZHENWAY Kids Headphones Bulk: Provides a smaller 60-pack of sturdy on-ear headphones with adjustable volume controls and a modern design, ideal for protecting young ears, though it costs more per unit and comes only in black.
• Best for: The Wensdo is for teachers managing hundreds of students or travelers needing cheap backups; the ZHENWAY is for parents and schools prioritizing hearing safety and durability over sheer quantity.
The Wensdo 120 Pack Bulk Earbud Headphones are designed with a specific utility in mind: mass distribution without the headache of individual packaging failures. With a count of 120 units, this product solves the logistical nightmare of equipping an entire school year's worth of students or filling a bulk order for a hotel chain. The standout feature here is the variety. You aren't getting a monochromatic pile of gray plastic; instead, you receive six distinct colors—black, white, yellow, green, blue, and pink. This isn't just aesthetic fluff; bright, mixed colors serve a practical purpose in a chaotic classroom environment. They make it significantly easier for students to grab their own pair without confusion, and they reduce the likelihood of mix-ups during group activities.
The physical design relies on an in-ear placement with round earpieces made from soft silica gel pads. This material choice is crucial for comfort during extended listening sessions, which is common when children are using devices for remote online studying or watching educational videos. The ear cushions conform instantly to the shape of the ear, creating a snug fit that doesn't feel jarring. For those concerned about hygiene in shared environments, the fact that each unit comes individually bagged is a major selling point. It ensures that every single earbud arrives clean and ready to use, eliminating the need for pre-use sanitization by staff or parents.
Audio performance is handled by a dynamic driver with a frequency range spanning from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. This standard range delivers clear sound that avoids feeling harsh, making it suitable for everyday listening tasks like music, language learning, or following along with digital textbooks. The cable is constructed from TPE material, which offers a balance of softness and durability. At approximately 40 inches (100 cm) in length, the cord provides enough slack for movement without being so long that it becomes a tripping hazard. The universal 3.5 mm jack ensures compatibility with almost any device, including Chromebooks, tablets, PCs, and smartphones, which is essential for modern classrooms where device types vary wildly.

However, there are trade-offs to consider. These are not premium audiophile headphones; they are functional tools. They lack a built-in microphone, meaning they cannot be used for two-way communication or voice calls. Furthermore, there is no active noise cancellation or significant sound isolation beyond what the soft silicone tip provides naturally. While the impedance is 32 ohms, which is standard for consumer audio, the primary focus here is volume and clarity rather than deep bass response. The design is "Classic," prioritizing function over form, and the in-ear style might not be preferred by students who find them uncomfortable after several hours compared to larger over-ear options.
Who should skip this? Parents looking for a headphone set to last for years or for a child who needs volume protection will likely find these too disposable. Similarly, anyone needing a headset for video conferencing or phone calls should look elsewhere, as the absence of a microphone renders them useless for that purpose.
The ZHENWAY Kids Headphones Bulk takes a different approach, focusing on longevity and safety rather than sheer volume. With a pack size of 60, this option is tailored for settings where quality and durability matter more than having a hundred pairs available for immediate disposal. The design philosophy here is centered around the "On Ear" placement. Unlike the in-ear buds of the Wensdo, these sit comfortably over the outer ear. This design choice is particularly beneficial for children with sensitive ears or those who find the pressure of in-ear tips irritating after a short period. The enclosure material combines silicone and plastic, giving the headphones a modern, sleek look while ensuring they can withstand the rough handling typical of school-aged children.
One of the most critical features for any parent or educator is the adjustable volume limit. Hearing health is a genuine concern for kids exposed to constant audio stimuli. The ZHENWAY headphones address this directly by capping the output volume, ensuring that even if a student turns the volume up to the maximum on their device, the sound reaching their eardrums remains within a safe range. This feature alone makes them a superior choice for long-term use, especially in scenarios like long-haul flights or extended study sessions where exposure time is significant. The impedance is listed at 140 ohms, which is higher than the Wensdo, suggesting a different acoustic tuning that may prioritize clarity and power efficiency over raw loudness.
Durability is another pillar of this product. The item weight of the bulk package is substantial at 4.01 kg, hinting at the robust construction of the individual units compared to lighter, disposable alternatives. The cable is built into the unit, and the overall build suggests a product intended to survive being tossed in a backpack, stepped on, or yanked by a child. The color scheme is strictly black, which gives them a uniform, professional appearance suitable for a library or a computer lab where distraction-free environments are key. They work seamlessly with any standard 3.5 mm jack, maintaining compatibility with the vast ecosystem of educational technology currently in use.
The trade-off here is the lack of variety. If your goal is to hand out a different color to every student to help them identify their own gear, the single-black palette of the ZHENWAY might feel less engaging. Additionally, because they are on-ear rather than in-ear, they might be slightly more prone to collecting dust or debris in open environments, though the sealed nature of the on-ear cup helps keep external noise out passively. They are also heavier than the disposable earbuds, which some very young children might initially find bulky, though most adapt quickly.
Who should skip this? Families or organizations with extremely tight budgets that require the absolute lowest cost-per-unit might find the price difference prohibitive. Also, users who prefer the discreet, invisible look of in-ear buds for travel or sports will likely find the on-ear style too conspicuous.
When deciding between these two bulk options, the first thing to weigh is the physical footprint of the inventory. The Wensdo 120 weighs 0.96 kg for the entire pack, making it incredibly light and easy to ship or store. In contrast, the ZHENWAY 60-pack weighs 4.01 kg. That nearly four-fold difference in weight indicates a much denser, more substantial product. If you are shipping these internationally or storing them in a small closet, the Wensdo's lightweight nature is a logistical advantage. However, if you are worried about the headphones breaking under the weight of a heavy backpack, the ZHENWAY's heft is actually a sign of its sturdier construction.
Another factor is the intended environment. The Wensdo shines in transient settings. Because they are individually bagged and come in a massive quantity, they are perfect for a school that wants to give one pair to every student for a specific event, a movie day, or a field trip. Once the trip is over, the cost of replacing a lost pair is negligible. The ZHENWAY, conversely, is built for retention. The adjustable volume limit and the durable on-ear design mean these headphones are meant to be kept and reused. They are the better investment for a classroom that wants to maintain a consistent set of equipment for months or years.
For the specific use case of air travel, both have merits but serve different traveler profiles. The Wensdo is excellent as a "best open ear earbuds for airplane" scenario if you are traveling with a large family or group and don't mind swapping pairs or losing them. Their compact in-ear design tucks away easily, and the long cable prevents tangling in a cramped seat. However, for a child flying solo or requiring hearing protection from engine noise, the ZHENWAY is the superior "headset for airplane." The on-ear cup design provides passive noise reduction that in-ear buds often struggle to match, and the volume limiter ensures that the roar of the jet engine doesn't tempt the child to crank the volume to dangerous levels.
Ultimately, the decision rests on whether you value quantity and convenience or safety and durability. If your priority is to equip a room full of people quickly and cheaply, the Wensdo is the logical choice. If your priority is to protect the hearing of a smaller group over a longer period, the ZHENWAY justifies its presence in the cart.

• Best for comfort in small ears → Wensdo 120, with soft silica gel pads and an in-ear fit that conforms to smaller anatomy without pressure points.
• Best for noise isolation → ZHENWAY Kids Headphones Bulk, as the on-ear cup design generally blocks more ambient noise than open in-ear tips.

• Best for long flights → ZHENWAY Kids Headphones Bulk, providing the necessary volume control and passive isolation for a stressful travel environment.
In my opinion, I would buy the ZHENWAY Kids Headphones Bulk for my own family, especially for our upcoming airplane trips. While the Wensdo is undeniably impressive for its sheer volume and colorful appeal, the peace of mind provided by the adjustable volume limit is non-negotiable when dealing with children's hearing health. The on-ear design also feels more secure for long durations, preventing the fatigue that often comes with in-ear buds. For a serious buyer who wants a reliable "headset for airplane" use that protects their child's ears and lasts through multiple journeys, the ZHENWAY is the smarter, safer investment.
No, both the Wensdo 120 and the ZHENWAY Kids Headphones Bulk are wired devices that connect via a standard 3.5 mm jack. Neither model includes Bluetooth or internal batteries.
Based on the specifications, the ZHENWAY model does not list a built-in microphone. They are designed primarily for listening to audio, such as music or educational content, rather than two-way communication.
If the budget is extremely tight and the need is for immediate, high-volume distribution, the Wensdo 120 is the better choice due to its lower cost per unit and 120-pack size, despite lacking advanced safety features.
