Wen Matz has self-published two books: a collection of poems and short stories, and a children's book, Saving the Ice Cream, released in June 2024. Wen will launch her second children's book in 2025.

Wen Matz is an Ecuadorian artist currently residing in the Twin Cities. Wen has always had a passion for the arts. Her early immersion in dance and theater at a very young age were the first steps in a career that would eventually lead her to perform on stages in her hometown of Quito.
In adulthood, she discovered painting as her refuge. Now, she paints people, landscapes, and dreams inspired by her life in Minnesota and her Ecuadorian roots. She primarily works with oil and acrylic, aiming to reveal through her canvases what her soul holds.
