I'm Wenkui Du, a C.L.E Moore Instructor in Department of Mathematics at MIT. My mentors are Professor Tobias Colding and Professor William Minicozzi.
My research lies in the field of geometric analysis, at the intersection of differential geometry and partial differential equations. I am particularly interested in regularity and rigidity phenomena in geometric variational problems. Currently, my research focuses on mean curvature flow, Ricci flow, minimal surfaces, Allen-Cahn equations as well as geometric inequalities. You can find more details on my google scholar research page. I am also interested in exploring the min–max theory of minimal surfaces and geometric inverse problems in the future.
Previously I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto, where my mentor was Professor Yevgeny Liokumovich. Before that I earned my Ph.D. at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Professor Robert Haslhofer.
Currently, I am holding AMS Simons Travel Grant (2025-2027).
Here is my CV (last updated: August 07 2025). My email address is duwenkui at mit dot edu.
I am currently on the job market for tenure track positions starting from 2026.
