About
My name is Wenjie Li and I am currently an assistant research professor of Department of Materials Science and Engineering in Pennsylvania State University. I am a researcher with an interdisciplinary background of both material science in ceramic/metal-alloy/semiconductor and device engineering in energy harvesting field, specifically for thermoelectric, high entropy alloy, thermomagnetic, shape memory alloy, and perovskite oxide/oxynitride materials. I received the Ph.D. degree in Department of Materials Science and Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany in 2015, and then worked in Center for Energy Harvesting Materials and Systems at Virginia Tech as a postdoctoral fellow from 2016 to 2018. My research interests include thermoelectric materials (oxides and alloys) and devices/modules, high entropy refractory alloys, functional materials for energy harvesting applications, and ceramics/alloy processing.
