Actor - Director - Educator

- Artist Biography -

This is the part where I write about myself, right? Here goes...

I am a St. Louis, MO. based Theatre Artist, Actor, Director, Educator, and Stage Manager. I don't do props design anymore...please don't ask me to. I've never worked so hard in my life. Bless you, props designers, bless you.

I have been working professionally in theatre for over 20 years now as an actor, director, and stage manager . I graduated with my B.A. in Theater Performance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) in 2004. In 2010 I earned my Secondary Theater Education certificates (5-12) again from SIUE. I was privileged enough to teach theatre, full time, in St. Louis (Parkway School District) for over 13 years. In 2020 I put myself through school for a third time (Life-long learner) to earn my MSEd. in Educational Administration from Northwest Missouri State University (NWMSU). And in 2023 I did a career shift into school administration.

I consider myself lucky to be consistently working in Theatre. I believe networking is an artform in and of itself, and as such I have spent many years getting to know this city, and the companies and artists in it. I have acted, directed, done props design, or stage managed at some amazing local companies like Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (Wisewrite), Upstream Theater, Max & Louie Productions, Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble (SATE), New Jewish Theatre, St. Louis Actors' Studio, Prism Theatre Company, Mustard Seed Theater, R-S Theatrics, Theatre Nuevo, New Line Theatre, Insight, St. Louis Shakespeare, Solid Lines Productions, and The Playhouse at Westport Plaza

I have served as a guest director for the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University (Amélie 2022), and SIUE (The End: an Apocalypse Anthology 2017). I also served as the Co-Artistic Director / Productions Director of SIUE's Cougar Theatre Company (TYA) 2010-2011.

I am currently on the board at Upstream Theater, I was a founding company member at Prism Theatre Company, and I previously sat on the Friends of Theater and Dance (FOTAD) board at SIUE.

"Of course we all come to the theatre with baggage. The baggage of our daily lives, the baggage of our problems, the baggage of our tragedies, the baggage of being tired. It doesn't matter what age you are. But if our hearts get opened and released -- well that is what theatre can do, and does sometimes, and everyone is thankful when that happens."- Vanessa Redgrave
