Dr. Wendy Hui Wang is a Professor of the Computer Science Department of the Stevens Institute of Technology. She received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. She is a recipient of the IEEE Big Data Security Woman of Achievement Award (2025), NSF CAREER Award (2014), ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining Honorable Mention for the Best Student Paper Award (2025), IEEE International Conference on Information Reuse and Integration (IRI) Best Paper Award (2017), and Distinguished Reviewer Award for International VLDB Conference on Very Large Data Bases (2021 & 2023).
Her research interests lie at the intersection of security, privacy, and machine learning. Her recent work focuses on privacy attacks against machine learning models, machine unlearning, and the trustworthiness of Large Language Models. Her research is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Cisco, and NVIDIA. More information about her research can be found at publications.
