About Me

Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor & Extension Economist in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at Auburn University and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. I joined Auburn University in August of 2020, shortly after completing my PhD in economics at Iowa State University.

My research and extension program lies in agricultural marketing, risk management, and technology adoption and includes 1) providing timely updates and outlooks on agricultural commodity markets, 2) educating producers on marketing tools available, and 3) analyzing the economics of soil conservation practices such as cover crops and conservation tillage.

I am originally from Pullman, WA and received a bachelors in economic sciences from Washington State University. I also lived in Burkina Faso, my father's country, for a few years as a child. In my free time, I enjoy watching sports, going on walks, and trying out new recipes!
