About me
I joined the University of South Florida in August, 2019 as a Assistant Professor. Before that, I was a Research Engineer and Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I received my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (advisor: Alexander Alexeev) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, M.S. in Thermal Engineering from Chinese Academy of Sciences, and B.S. in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.
My research interests span the areas of biofluid mechanics, microfluidics, and cardiovascular biomechanics. In particular, I am interested in the development and application of computational methods that address the complex fluid-structure interaction (FSI) problems in the context of biomedical engineering, such as cardiovascular biomechanics, biological flows, cell manipulation in microfluidics, and hemodynamics.
