多媒體通訊暨系統晶片實驗室創立於2003年,為國立台灣師範大學資訊工程學系之實驗室。本實驗室的指導老師為黃文吉教授。
本實驗室致力於研究高速運算和資料傳輸的理論與應用,主要的研究方向可分為兩個範疇,第一個研究方向為設計與發展訊號 處理演算法之VLSI架構,此架構為硬體加速器並與CPU做物理性測量比較,主要的實驗平台為Altera提供的SOPC系統。第二個研究 方向為視訊串流系統之發展,其中影像傳輸之資源分配和媒體控制協議也是本實驗室的研究主題。
The Multimedia Communication and system on Chip laboratory (MC2 lab), founded in 2003, is associated with Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan Normal University. Professor Wen-Jyi Hwang is the director of the lab.
The MC2 lab is devoted to theoretical issues and practical applications of high speed computation and information delivery. Main research activities in the lab are separated into two categories. The first category includes the design and development of VLSI architectures for signal processing algorithms. The architectures are used as hardware accelerators to CPUs for physical performance measurement. The major platform used is the system-on-programmable-chip (SOPC) systems provided by Altera. The second category of the research involves the development of video streaming systems. The resource allocation algorithms and media control protocols for video delivery are also the major research topics in the MC2 lab.
