We are a homeschool family of six. We strive to honor God in all we do -- and fail miserably often -- as we raise tiny humans to love the Wellspring of Life, Jesus Christ. Our prayer for them is that they will flourish like "trees planted by streams of water" (Psalm 1). We hope that someday they raise their own tiny humans to love Jesus, too.
Mom stays at home to manage the household, homeschool the children, and create graphic design projects. Because the kids are learning to manage money and understand the value of hard work, they have created their own little "businesses" to earn money for their activities and for their own spending money. And the dad? He is a fulltime semi driver and crane operator in a petroleum refinery. Plus, he oversees our rental trailer side-hustle that we lovingly call "Wellspring Outdoor Adventures."
1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
