From a young age, Lindsey began collecting shells with her grandmother, sparking a lifelong love for the ocean. In high school, she learned to lay tile alongside her father, a skill that laid the foundation for her future in craftsmanship. She pursued her trade apprenticeship while simultaneously earning three collegiate degrees — blending hands-on skill with academic knowledge.
Eight years ago, while reading The Rainbow Fish to her son, he asked her to make one of his own. That simple request ignited a new creative journey, giving birth to her distinctive art form. Lindsey now combines her passion for the sea with the precision of her trade to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces. Each piece of artwork is handmade, featuring hand-collected and hand-sorted shells — tiny masterpieces themselves crafted by mollusks that quietly cleanse our waters and sands as they form their beautiful shells. Through her work, Lindsey honors both nature’s artistry and the generations of skill passed down to her.
