A foundational treatment using a variety of long strokes, kneading, and circular movements to release muscle knots and improve circulation. It effectively revitalizes the body while restoring flexibility and ease of movement.
We’ve all been there: you finish a challenging Pilates session or a deep Yoga flow, and you feel that wonderful mix of accomplishment and "good" muscle fatigue. But as the week goes on, the stresses of daily life—sitting at desks, commuting, or simply the mental load of a busy schedule—can start to settle back into our shoulders and hips.
At YOGA PILATES STUDIO ZURICH, we believe that true wellness is a cycle of effort and ease. That is why we are so excited to introduce Classic Massage to our District 4 studio.
Classic Massage is the gold standard of massage therapy. It uses five primary strokes—long gliding strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, and vibration—to work on the top layers of the muscles.
Unlike deep tissue work, which can sometimes feel intense, a Classic Massage is designed to be therapeutic yet deeply relaxing, focusing on improving circulation and flushing out the toxins that build up in our tissues.
Included:
Massage, towels, massage oil, relaxing music, consultation, complimentary tea or water, access to the lounge area and changing rooms.
If you are a regular on the mat, your body is doing a lot of "work." Here is how a Classic Massage helps you get more out of your classes:
Accelerated Muscle Recovery: Massage increases blood flow, which brings oxygen and nutrients to the muscles you just worked in Pilates. This means less soreness and a faster return to your next class.
Increased Flexibility: By releasing "knots" or adhesions in the fascia, massage helps your muscles move more freely. You might find you can reach just a little further in your next downward dog.
Mental Reset: Just as Savasana calms the nervous system at the end of Yoga, a massage triggers the "rest and digest" mode (parasympathetic nervous system), lowering cortisol levels and reducing anxiety.
Postural Alignment: Our therapists work closely with our instructors to understand common postural "sticking points." We help release the tension in the chest and neck that often comes from our digital lives.
We have designed our new wellness room to be a quiet sanctuary. From the moment you walk in, the goal is to help you leave the "outside world" behind. Whether you need a 60-minute full-body reset or a targeted 90-minute session for specific tension, our certified therapists are here to support your journey.
You can now view our therapist's availability and book your session directly through our website. No phone calls required—just a few clicks to claim your time for rest.
The price of a Classic Massage this month is CHF 120 for a 60-minute procedure. Payments are made directly to the therapist during your session. You can pay in cash or digitally (TWINT). You can add add-ons to your procedure.
Ask your therapist for discounts and invoice possibilities.
