We feel that screen time should be limited once students complete their remote schoolwork. However, we do know that students working remotely have a lot of time on their hands and they want to continue their learning beyond regular school assignments. Do look to work together as a family to come up with a list of activities that do not involve technology. The more your children can experience free play, creative time though the arts and the use of their imaginations the better! During virtual school our teachers really stressed the importance of students getting outside to play with friends and to enjoy nature.
The following resources are all web-based. Many are supported through advertisements so parents need to sit with their K-2 age students as they try the resources. Parents of 3-5 students need to make sure their children understand that they are not to click on the advertisements. Please note that some of these sites need Flash to play within your browser. They will not work on iPads.
