Mab Jones is a "unique talent" (The Times) who has read her work all over the UK, in the US, France, Ireland and Japan. She is winner of the John Tripp Spoken Poetry Audience Award, the Word Factory Neil Gaiman Short Story competition, a Royal Society of Literature ‘Literature Matters’ award, the Aurora Poetry Prize, the Rabbit Heart Poetry Film Festival Grand Jury Prize, a Creative Wales Award, and the Geoff Stevens Memorial Poetry Prize, amongst others.
She is the author of 3 poetry pamphlets and 3 collections. The most recent of these is Yubitsume (Indigo Dreams, 2022). She's presented poetry programmes on BBC Radio 4, appeared on BBC 1 television, and is currently Resident Writer in Cardiff Wetlands. She runs two small poetry presses - Infinity Books UK, and Black Rabbit Books - and, as well as teaching at Cardiff University, is a BACP trained counsellor who currently works for Digital Health and Care Wales, part of the NHS.
