Message from HoD

I have the pleasure and privilege of conveying that the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Kharagpur is organizing its 13th Research Scholar’s Day on 2nd March 2024. This is a great platform for the research scholars to exhibit and share their work, ideas and innovative thoughts among their peers and also provides a stage for valuable discussion. At present, the research work of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering has expanded from its primary root of extraction, processing, and characterization of traditional metals and alloys to development of novel and advanced materials with the help of new and advanced characterization tools along with mathematical modelling and simulation. This event showcases the novel research and advancement in the field of Materials Engineering.
