About Me
Mrs. Allison Cosper
Hello and welcome to my site! I would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself and my background. In 1994, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Winthrop University. In 1995, I completed my Master's of Education degree in Learning Disabilities from Francis Marion University. I have 20 years of teaching experience and have been a teacher in Lexington/Richland District 5 for 12 of those years. Previously, I taught in Horry County before moving to Chapin. I have taught students in kindergarten through eighth grades which has given me a variety of experiences in working with different age groups.
I moved to Chapin in 2009. I have been married to my husband, Dale, for twenty-nine years. We have a son who is a first teacher in Lancaster, SC. He is also a newlywed and his wife, Kiersten, is a middle school ELA teacher. We have a daughter who is a sophomore at Clemson University. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors on the lake and at the beach. We also enjoy going to college football games on most Saturdays during the fall.
As I think back and remember the teachers that taught me throughout the years, I either remember a teacher in a positive or negative way. I remember things that they said and did that either made me feel encouraged or discouraged. When my students grow up and become adults, I hope that they remember me as someone who encouraged them, made them feel cared for, and helped them view learning in a positive way.
